Patience will last....a few minutes!

There is nothing like expressing yourself(see the bottom of this page). I finally finished another day of school, I can't seem to get away from it. Even when I have finished my homework the sound of Miss. Stancel's voice still rings in my ear. To those who are reading this and don't know Miss. Stancel good for you! It is my nightmare that has manifested into life! Well maybe it isn't that bad, but the voice sure does it. It seems like 7th grade is never going to end....but it will! And I will wait for that day! But right now I have to think of other things.....like trying to control myself on the bike! Well I'll keep you posted on my progress! I just have to be patient in the Lord and ponder on his word, not Miss. Stancel's throat pipes!

Michael Writing: In a Long Time!!!

Sorry for not writing anything latley. I guess I should keep a time schedule. School has been getting on my nerve, I guess "The pity of a twelve year old is the downslide of school." If you souldn't tell ladies and gentlemen I wrote that "literally"! Well all my frineds are in the mainland, it seems like they all move some place else just when we were starting to become real friends. But I still have Nathan and Kimberly...........beside the fact my friend in Canada visited in December through till January. We had some fun talking to each other. I hope we will become better friends. I close by saying "I am.....well......me!"

~A flood of dreams~

I've been trying to learn a new song on the guitar for a few hours today. Sorry, but I can't tell you that I learned it and have perfected it: quite the contrary. I feel like I haven't even gone to square two. I'm just trying to get the beat down, and the strumming down, but, for some reason, this song is so hard for me! It just shows how lacking my guitar skills are. I am trying to get back in practicing, though.
It's funny...every night, I lie in bed and think of all of the wonderful things I want to do! I make a huge, wonderful list, and get exciting, thinking I'm going to do it all by the end of the next day. But when the next day does come around I'm usually tired and grumpy. It seems at night of flood of high spirits---a flood of dreams comes over me that the next day I forget about...or if I don't forget about them, I'm not excited by them. I don't want to do them because I have "other things" to do....There are good days, though. Days when I accomplish everything on my mental list. I love those days!
Michael wants to use the computer! Doesn't it seem like whenever you want to sit down and do something, a complication prevents you from it! But, really, I love life! Kimberly~

Poetry is beautiful

I just wanted to put down a few poems that I really like...

"Stanza's on Freedom" by James Russel Lowell (this is only the last paragraph...there are 4 in the whole poem, though)

They are slaves who fear to speak
For the fallen and the weak;
They are slaves who will not choose
Hatred, scoffing, and abuse,
Rather than in silence shrink
From the truth they needs must think;
They are slaves who dare not be
In the right with two or three.

Love this poem for it's stength and truth! It's speaking about going against slavery...

"Humility" by Robert Herrick

Humbe we must be, if to Heaven we go:
High is the roof there; but the gate is low:
When e're thou speak'st, look with a lowly eye:
Grace is increased by humility.

Love the short sweetness of this one.

"The Quarrel" by Eleanor Farjeon

I quarreled with my brother,
I don't know what about,
One thing led to another,
And somehow we fell out.
The start of it was slight,
The end of it was strong,
He said he was right,
I knew he was wrong!

We hated one another.
The afternoon turned black.
The suddenly my brother
Thumped me on the back,
And said, "Oh, come along!
We can't go on all night--
I was in the wrong."
So he was in the right.

This poem spoke to me the first time I read it! You can imagine, since I have two brothers :P

"The Loveliest of Trees" by A.E. Housman

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.

Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.

And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.

Could you figure out how old the man was who wrote the poem? In the second stanza it says....Well, he's 20. I just liked the poem so I thought I'd put it on.

Okay, these are just a few poems that I liked from my reading in Literature class. I used to hate reading the poems, the stories were okay, but the poems were dreaded, but now I truly enjoy reading both. I think I can finally understand (some of) them and appretiate them (to a certain extent). I'm not crazy about poetry now, or anything like that, but I have always enjoyed reading things, and this is something I have added to my list.
I can really appretiate my schooling cirriculum now, because without A Beka, I don't know what I'd be learning. I know I probably wouldn't be reading poetry, and I probably wouldn't be taught how to enjoy, apprecitate, and glean off of it. Yet, I still can't understand Shakespeare without my teacher explaning it! haha.

Have to get back to other things now! Kimberly

(no title)

:::Nathan writing :::

The last few days have been up and down for me. I think i'm on an up slope now?

Well while listening to the band Worth Dying For i realized that i've been relying on my own strength for living the Christian live, but in reality on my own strength it is impossible.

We've all been practicing our parts in the Movie ( no title yet). Man!- acting is hard.

Mom has been coaching us- thank you!-.

Braces

Today I got my bottom braces on and it's starting to get painful now. I have had them on for about seven hours. When I first was going to get braces on (I've had them a few years ago but this is "phase 2") I was excited because I wanted to have nice, straight teeth...but now I can't wait until they take them off. I only had braces on my top teeth for a few months but, just today, it was time to get the bottom ones, too.
It's sooo hard to chew and the inside of my lip is sore from the metal rubbing against it (for those of you who have had or have braces...you know what I mean??). Well, it's just really dreadful, but I know it will be worth it in the end, even if my excitement is faded right now from the pain....

We planted a tomato plant outside our house and it has flowers already! I can't wait till some small green tomato's start popping up and then red and then yum! I also planted a few cilantro seeds but they don't grow very easily because I tried it before and they didn't grow very big until bugs got to them. Also, I want to get some flowers to plant inside this little patch we have outside. We don't have any land but I enjoy planting things in this small area outside. Although, little kids often trample through it to the great detriment of the plants and certain little girls outside enjoy plucking flowers occasionally...and, in my opinion, worst of all, turkeys eat up lots of the flowers and, sometimes plants! They annoy me soooo much!

To leave off on a lighter note, I've been working on my story I'm writing a lot lately. I hope to get done with it soon so I can start on the next one I've planned. It's, hopefully, going to have a better plot and better characters!

Loves, Kimberly
I love posting pictures on here. This is of Waipeo Valley when we were down there.

new tabs rock

hi
school has been really busy ( I won't begin with this all the time so just assume I'm busy with school) :) . I found some guitar music by Leeland, and i'm having lots of fun playing. I especially like Opposite Way and Let it Out Now. Also Kim, Mike, and I are all involved in an up coming movie directed by two sisters. The movie has a great vision. well that's for now

ugh..

How upsetting! I just wrote a long post and accidentally erased it all with no hope of getting it back! Computers can be so annoying at times...
Well, I guess I'll try to duplicate it.
Usually people make new years resolutions but I don't think I will be making one this year because people never keep them. I actually never have made one because it's always been sorta pointless. The idea of making a resolution in the beginning of the year with the idea lingering in the back of my head that they will probably forget about it in a few months is not something I want to do. Of course, I'm not against them and I don't think people who make them are bad! No! I just don't want to make one right now.
I do have goals, though, and plans that I hope to carry out. One of them is, like Nathan said, to practice guitar more often. We have had lessons for almost a year, but stopped them in October and ever since then we have been extremely lazy about working on something seriously. We do pick up the guitar and strum for a while, but we don't really work on anything new. So that's why we want to practice and keep up note reading and make sure our hands don't get weak.
But, let me tell you, it is very hard for us to even sit down and try to practice, which is why this is a big thing for us! We're like the two magnets with the same poles facing each other...rebelling and trying to push away...haha, that's a funny analogy! But, really, I am very stubborn when it comes to guitar and practicing with Nathan :P
The other day we went to the beach with some friends for almost the whole afternoon and it was really fun! Surprisingly, even though we live in Hawaii and have beautiful beaches within our reach, we don't go as often as we ought to. But we did have a lot of fun, although, the waves on the right side of the beach were really huge! I can swim alright, but I do NOT enjoy swimming with gigantic waves coming in with full force against me with the power to smash me into the sand! Not my thing, but thanks....So we went off to the left side where it was calmer.
We all got a few cuts and bruises from the rocks and stuff (some funny stories with them) but overall it was fun and I slept well that night from exhaustion---that shows how unfit I am!
Well, we might play tennis today so I'd better be off. God is so good.

my first post

I have a few new years resolutions. First would be to read a chapter of the Bible everyday and second practice guitar more often. The other resolutions are more detailed so I won't write 'em. If you don't know much about me: I love reading classic novels, playing Christian praise and rock, and I love the Lord Jesus. We, my sister and brother, all have fun writing this blog. bye

First post from Michael.

Hi to all reading! I can't believe that we have a blog! This is pretty fun, I wonder what the new year is going to bring. All I know is that I am going to be one year older! Since the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year day has passed I am not really looking forward to anything. Just school.....well I will try to write in here as much as possible if anything new comes up! Peace to all!

2009!

Well, it's a new year now and I'm sure everyone's saying: "I can't believe the year went so fast!"
I'm saying it all the time, too, and it really is amazing how everything whizzes by and suddenly you're in a new year. Everyone's growing up so fast and people are always changing; I cannot believe that one day I'm going to have to grow up and go to college and litterally "get a life."
Well, actually, right now it doesn't seem like we're in a new year yet because school hasn't started up again and I'm not having to write 1/1/09 on all of my school papers...It's probably going to take me 3 whole months to finally get into the pattern of writing 09 on everything :P
I have a feeling that I'm going to be the one writing the most on this blog out of the three of us (Nate, Mikey, and I) because I've been waiting for one of them to write something and they haven't so now I'm writing another post. Who knows in a few months this could become my blog! :D I wonder how they're going to respond to that! :D
But even if it doesn't I'm probably going to be writing the most on here...which is fine with me.
I thought I'd post a pic on here for the fun of it. For all of you who know Michael, you know this captures his personality perfectly...he's just relaxing. Nathan and Michael are both flying kites and I'm untangling some kite string in the back! haha. I actually got it undone in the end even though it took a while. This was during our Auntie's stay (Pehee). We had alot of fun! Kimberly~
